Stevey's Blog Rants: The Universal Design Pattern →
I just finished reading this one.. it’s well worth the effort. Steve explains some of the ideas behind designing systems using the property design pattern. It seems to be a really good way to design extensible systems, not to mention a good complement to OO design.

Rands In Repose: The Culture Chart →
A really insightful post by Rands. I can relate to this a lot. Where I used to work, the senior developers would play darts and 500 every lunchtime. I learnt an awful lot from those guys, some of the most intelligent and insightful people I’ve met. I think companies shouldn’t underestimate the power of the lunchroom.

Some pretty good insight into being a technical lead of a company. The part about growing technical leaders sounds like a pretty important aspect of building the companies technical culture.
